01Who we are
For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller for www.manukalozenge.com is Family Foods and Healthcare Ltd, Rugeley, Staffordshire WS15 1PS.
You can reach us about your personal data at info@manukalozenge.com. If you would rather talk to someone in writing, write to us at the address above, marked “Data protection”.
02The information we collect
This is an information site: there are no accounts, no checkout and no web forms. Information reaches us in three ways.
- You tell us. When you email us, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you include in your message. For trade enquiries that may also include your company, your territory and your volume plans.
- Your browser tells us. Like most websites, our hosting records basic technical details in server logs — IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, the referring website and the time of the request — so that pages can be delivered and kept secure.
- Font loading. Our typefaces are served by Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser asks Google’s servers for the font files, and Google can see that request, including your IP address.
We run no advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking scripts on this website. See our Cookie Policy for the detail.
03How we use it, and our lawful basis
- to answer your enquiry or question about a product — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interests;
- to keep the website secure and working — our legitimate interests;
- to understand in outline how the site is used and where it could be better — our legitimate interests, using aggregated data;
- to comply with our own legal obligations — legal obligation.
We do not send marketing email, we do not sell your information, and we do not make automated decisions or build profiles about you.
04Who we share it with
Only as far as needed to run the business:
- our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions;
- our professional advisers, such as our accountants and lawyers; and
- the police, courts or regulators, where we are required to disclose it.
When you buy from Amazon UK or Ocado, the retailer handles your order and delivery details under its own privacy policy — we never see your card or address details.
05Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on a UK adequacy regulation or on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
06How long we keep it
Enquiry emails are kept only for as long as it takes to deal with your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up, then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. If you ask us to delete your details, we will.
07Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- confirm what we hold about you and give you a copy (access);
- correct anything that is wrong (rectification);
- delete it (erasure);
- stop processing it in some circumstances (restriction and objection);
- hand your data to someone else in a usable format (portability); and
- withdraw a consent you have given, at any time.
Email us to exercise any of these rights. We may need to confirm your identity first. There is usually no charge and we will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office — see the last section.
08Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send card details by email — we never take payment on this website.
09Children
This website is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. Our lozenges are not suitable for infants, and honey should not be given to babies.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our products, providers or the law change. The version on this page, with the “last updated” date above, is the one that applies.
11Contact and complaints
Please contact us first at info@manukalozenge.com — most matters are settled quickly.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.
